Mame Gohan  まめごはん, 豆ご飯

Green Peas Rice

Plain rice or Shiro Gohan can be sometimes dull. With green peas, Mame Gohan forms a zesty Polka dots pattern. Just like a curious small child sneakily finding what’s under the rice cooker’s lid and feeling increased festivity, this Gohan makes the day’s rice-eating exciting! Grab your chopsticks and scoop a small portion scattered with peas from an off-the-cooker bowl. And with a little huff and puff, taste mildly starchy, crushable peas, a bit sticky Japonica rice grains, and an appetising mild salty seasoning — all in one on the tongue. While chewing, you may feel spring is slowly melting away into an early summer!
